My wonderful sister and I went on a little vacation to Puerto Rico last week. I rarely get to see her since she lives in Florida and I live in New Jersey. We had a great time exploring the island and crashing the pool at a nearby hotel. We stayed in San Juan in an area called Condado that was close to everything we needed. The first full day in Puerto Rico we went to Old San Juan:
We visited the beautiful historic Forts on Old San Juan. a definite must!
Castillo San Cristobal was a beautiful oasis right on the ocean.
Castillo San Felipe del Morro is at the very western edge of Old San Juan so we walked through the colorful town and took the scenic route on our way there.
We finally arrived at Castillo San Felipe del Morro and it was beautiful. Also, some passion fruit/pineapple ice cream from a street vendor as also welcome.
Turns our Puerto Rico was almost a Dutch colony. We missed out.
Then Senior Frogs for some drinks, a food truck dinner after and a swim at a nearby hotel pool. Bueno.
